Web Scraping & Monitoring

Public data, collected on a schedule, in a format you can use.

Competitor pricing, marketplace listings, tender notices, directory data — plenty of decisions depend on information that's public but tedious to collect.

We build collectors that run on a schedule and hand you structured data. We work with publicly accessible sources and respect robots.txt, rate limits and terms of use — we won't build something that scrapes behind a login in violation of a site's terms.

Scope

What we build

  • Scheduled collection from public web sources
  • Structured extraction into database, Sheets or API
  • Change detection with alerting on meaningful movement
  • Price and stock monitoring across marketplaces
  • Tender and listing monitoring
  • Anti-fragile selectors that survive minor layout changes
  • Proxy and rate management to stay a polite client
In practice

Examples of this work

Concrete builds rather than capability statements.

Competitor price tracking

Daily price and stock check across competitor listings, alerting the pricing team only when a tracked SKU moves more than a set threshold.

Tender monitoring

Watches government tender portals for keyword matches and pushes qualifying notices to the bid team the morning they appear.

FAQ

Web scraping — questions we get asked

Is this legal?

Collecting publicly accessible data is generally permissible, but it depends on the source's terms, the type of data and your jurisdiction. We won't bypass authentication, defeat anti-bot measures, or collect personal data without a lawful basis. If a source prohibits it, we'll say so and look for a licensed feed instead.

What if the site changes?

Collectors break — that's normal. We build in structure validation that alerts on unexpected output rather than silently returning empty data, and fixes are covered under a maintenance retainer.
